RiO Edu Centrum: ReStart under the patronage of the Children’s Rights Ombudsman

On September 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM, the RiO Edu Centrum will open a new chapter in its history. The ReStart event—the symbolic commencement of the next stage in the history of this unique educational and artistic space—will be held under the honorary patronage of the Children’s Rights Ombudsman. 

This patronage underscores the importance of RiO’s mission – creating a place where every child, regardless of their life situation, can develop their passions, acquire knowledge, and experience agency. The Center’s activities align with the principles of equal opportunities, respect for the rights of children, and supporting them on their path to independence. 

This year’s opening will also be unique thanks to the new visual version by Bruno Neuhamer – at RiO he created a mural, masks with images of outstanding figures fighting for human rights, and a sculpture of a leopard – symbols of strength, creativity and hope. 

ReStart is not only a new beginning, but also confirmation that RiO remains a place where children and young people can count on support, inspiration and a chance for a better future – now also with an additional, important voice in their defense, which is the patronage of the Ombudsman for Children.
